Independent verification of Cadmium Fluoroborate Solution on third-party scientific databases:
Standard cadmium fluoroborate solution is supplied at ~50% w/w Cd(BF₄)₂, equivalent to approximately 200 g/L Cd metal in solution. The Cd:BF₄ ratio is balanced so the solution can be used directly for plating-bath make-up, with free HBF₄ < 1%.
Cadmium is a REACH-Annex-XVII restricted substance with several end-use bans in the EU. Our cadmium fluoroborate is supplied for industrial uses that remain permitted (notably aerospace, defence, and certain electronics applications) under appropriate authorisation. Buyers are responsible for confirming the legality of their downstream use.
UN 2922 (toxic, corrosive liquid), Class 8 / 6.1 PG I. Shipped only in HDPE-lined drums and IBC totes with full IMDG / DGR / ADR documentation. Steel containers are not used.
Cadmium Fluoroborate Solution is supplied in HDPE woven bags with inner LDPE liner (25 kg / 50 kg net), HDPE drums (25 / 50 / 250 kg), and FIBC jumbo bags (500 / 1000 kg) for solid grades. Liquid grades ship in HDPE-lined steel drums (250 kg) or 1000 L IBC totes. Custom packaging — including nitrogen-blanketed, moisture-tight, or food-grade containers — is available on request.
Standard MOQ is 1 metric tonne for solid grades and 200 kg for liquid grades; pilot quantities of 5–25 kg are available for R&D qualification. Stock items dispatch within 7–10 working days from confirmed PO. Made-to-order grades and large export consignments require 3–4 weeks. Indian deliveries by road typically reach 4–7 days; export FCL shipments depend on destination port.
Yes. A 16-section GHS-format SDS is dispatched with every shipment and is also available in advance from marketing@sbfluorochem.com. A batch-specific COA accompanies every consignment and is emailed before dispatch for goods-receipt verification. Test methods follow IS / ASTM / USP / IP / EP as applicable.
SB Chemicals exports to over 35 countries across South-East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. We hold IEC, GST, and APEDA registrations. Shipments move CIF / FOB / CFR / FCA / EXW from Mundra, Nhava Sheva (JNPT), or Hazira ports. Letter of Credit (LC), TT, and DA terms are accepted subject to credit approval.
Yes. SB Chemicals operates an ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System at the GIDC Vapi facility. Every batch undergoes raw-material testing, in-process control, and final QC release before despatch. Clients are welcome to schedule a third-party audit of the plant.
Cadmium tetrafluoroborate, formula Cd(BF4)2, formula weight 286.62 g/mol (anhydrous). Supplied as a clear, colourless aqueous solution at 50% concentration. Density approximately 1.85 g/cm3 at 50% w/w. The aquated species is [Cd(H2O)6]2+ paired with BF4- anions. Aqueous pH typically 2-4. Hexahydrate solid form (Cd(BF4)2·6H2O) also commercial in some markets.
Aerospace-fastener plating-grade Cd(BF4)2 conforms to ASTM B766 (Cadmium Plating Engineering), AMS 2401 (Cadmium Plating, Plating Engineering), and military specification QQ-P-416 (now superseded by AMS-QQ-P-416). The fluoborate cadmium plating bath chemistry is documented in MIL-STD-1500 and ASTM B201 (Cadmium Plating Process).
CAS 14486-19-2. UN 3260 — Class 8 (Corrosive); cadmium content invokes Class 6.1 (Toxic) classification, PG II. GHS pictograms: GHS06 (toxic), GHS08 (health hazard — cadmium carcinogen Cat. 1B), GHS09 (environmental hazard, very toxic to aquatic life). REACH Annex XIV (Authorisation List) and Annex XVII (Restriction List entry 23). RoHS Restricted Substance — exemption clauses apply for aerospace/defense. EU End-of-Life Vehicle Directive prohibits in new vehicles.
